Agreement Management
Learn how to create and manage mileage compensation agreements
What are Agreements?
Agreements are a feature that allows you to manage mileage compensation between group members. This tool is especially useful when:
- You want to "forgive" miles to a companion who owes you.
- You want to compensate someone who has done you a favor outside the application.
- You cannot drive but want to balance your mileage balance.
- You prefer another type of compensation (for example, you have paid for gas).
Note: Agreements directly affect the mileage balance between members, modifying the "debt" recorded in the application.
Create Agreement
To create a new compensation agreement:
- Access the "Agreements" tab in the bottom menu.
- Tap on the "Create Agreement" button.
- A window will open where you must:
- Select the member to whom you propose the agreement (only members to whom you owe miles will appear).
- Enter the miles to be forgiven (cannot be greater than the current debt).
- Optionally, include a reason for the agreement.
- Tap "Send Request" to finish.
Important:
- You can only create agreements with members to whom you owe miles.
- You cannot have more than one pending request with the same member.
- The number of miles to be forgiven cannot exceed your current debt with that member.

List Agreements
To view all your agreements:
- Access the "Agreements" tab in the bottom menu.
- Tap on the "Agreement List" button.
- You will see a list of all your agreements with the following information:
- Recipient's name
- Forgiven miles
- Agreement status
- Request date
- Acceptance/rejection date (if applicable)
Note: You can filter agreements by status to see only pending, accepted, or rejected ones.
Agreement Status
Agreements can have three different statuses, identified by colors:
- Pending: The recipient has not yet responded to your request.
- Accepted: The recipient has accepted the agreement and the miles have been forgiven.
- Rejected: The recipient has rejected the agreement.
Important: Once an agreement is accepted, it cannot be canceled or modified. The mileage adjustment is permanent.
Respond to Agreements
When someone proposes an agreement to you, you will need to respond:
- You will receive a notification informing you of the agreement request.
- Access the "Agreements" section and then "Agreement List".
- Find the agreement with "Pending" status and tap on it.
- The agreement details will be displayed and two options:
- Accept: You confirm the proposed mile forgiveness.
- Reject: You do not accept the proposal.
- Tap the option you want and confirm your decision.
Note: When accepting an agreement, the mileage balance between you and the other member will be automatically updated.
Agreement Notifications
ComparTrip keeps you informed about the status of your agreements through notifications:
- Received requests: When someone proposes an agreement to you.
- Responses to your requests: When someone accepts or rejects your agreement proposal.
These notifications are sent both within the application and by email, and include:
- Name of the member involved
- Forgiven miles
- Request date
- Acceptance/rejection date (if applicable)
- Agreement status
Tips for Managing Agreements
Here are some recommendations for effectively using agreements:
- Use agreements to maintain a balanced status when you cannot drive.
- Always include a clear reason for the forgiveness, making it easier for the other person to understand and accept the agreement.
- Respond quickly to agreement requests you receive.
- Before proposing an agreement, check your current balance in the "Status" section.
- Agreements are a compensation tool, not an arbitrary "forgiveness". Use them when there is really a reason to adjust the balance.
Important: The agreement system is designed to maintain fairness among members. Use it responsibly and fairly.
