Trip Management
Learn how to create, administer, and manage your trips in ComparTrip
Create Trip
To register a new trip in the system, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the "Trips" section from the bottom menu.
- Tap on "Create Trip".
- Complete the trip information:
- Trip date: Tap to select the date.
- Route: Tap to select one of the routes registered in the group.
- Passengers: Tap "Add New Passenger" to select the group members who will accompany you.
- You can remove passengers by tapping the trash icon next to their name.
- Tap "Save Trip" to create the trip.
Note: You must select at least one passenger to save the trip. Selected passengers will receive a notification to confirm their participation.

Manage Trips
You can manage your trips both as a driver or as a passenger:
- In the "Trips" section, tap "Manage Trips".
- Select whether you want to see the trips as a driver or as a passenger.
- Select a date range to filter the trips.
- If you have selected "Trips as Passenger", you can choose a specific driver (optional).
- A list of trips that meet the criteria will be displayed.
- Tap on a trip to view its details.
Note: For trips as a driver, you will see the number of accepted, pending, and rejected passengers. For trips as a passenger, you will see the driver's name.
Trip Details as Driver
When tapping on a trip as a driver, you can view and manage all the information:
- You will see the trip data (date, route, miles) and the list of passengers.
- You can add new passengers by tapping "Add New Passenger".
- You can remove passengers by tapping the icon next to their name.
- The background color of each passenger indicates their status:
- Green: Accepted
- Gray: Pending confirmation
- Red: Rejected
- Tap "Update trip data" to save the changes.
- You can delete the entire trip from the trip list by tapping the trash icon.
Important: Deleting a trip is permanent and will affect the mileage balance with all the passengers involved.
Trip Details as Passenger
When tapping on a trip as a passenger:
- You will see the trip data (date, route, miles) and the driver's name.
- You cannot modify the trip data, only view it.
- Tap "Close" to return to the trip list.
Note: If the trip is still pending confirmation, you will see options to accept or reject your participation.
Manage Pending Trips
This option allows you to quickly see all the trips that require your attention:
- In the "Trips" section, tap "Pending Management Trips".
- A list of trips with pending or rejected passengers will be displayed.
- Tap on a trip to see its details and manage the passengers.
Note: This option is especially useful for drivers who need to confirm who will participate in each trip.
Respond to Trip Invitations
When someone adds you as a passenger to a trip, you will receive a notification:
- Open the notification or go to the "Trips" section and then to "Pending Management Trips".
- You will see the trip information (date, route, driver).
- You will have three options:
- Confirm: Accept your participation in the trip.
- Reject: Indicate that you will not participate in the trip.
- Ignore: Leave your decision pending for later.
- The driver will receive a notification about your response.
Important: Rejected trips will not be counted in your mileage balance. Try to respond to invitations as soon as possible to facilitate the driver's organization.
Automatic Mileage Calculation
Every time a trip is registered, ComparTrip automatically calculates the mileage balance:
- As a driver, you accumulate miles in your favor (your passengers owe you).
- As a passenger, you accumulate miles against you (you owe the driver).
- The miles are calculated according to the distance defined in the selected route.
- This balance is used to maintain a fair record of who has contributed more to the group.
Note: You can check your current balance in the "Status" section of the main menu.
